VILLAVERDE

A few kilometres outside of Corralejo on the inland road is Villaverde a small village surrounded by hills becoming very popular both with local professional people and foreign residents due to its peacefulness yet fairly close proximity to the commercial area of Corralejo. Situated just before the village, you can visit La Rosita, this authentically restored country house (or finca) incorporates a small museum, farm animals, Canarian garden, wine cellar and camel rides. The finca takes you back to the era before tourism, there is a shop selling traditional handicrafts and island culinary products.
